(You have the potential to be whoever you want)。

参加conference的杭州国际学校门口置有一块白板,写着:你想改变这世界上的什么?(What would you like to change in the world?

This weekend, I has changed the world.

Thanks to the wonderful opportunity that MUN has given me, I flew to Hangzhou International School on November 11th with ten of my MUN club members.

While we had already put on our winter clothes in Dalian, the weather in Hangzhou was still very warm. It's wonderful to spend the whole weekend just hanging out here.

The food in the cafeteria was amazing. Ms. Carlson said she would give "like 20 stars rating just for the cafeteria".

Before I start talking about my journey, there are two phrases that I would like to share with you.

Conference: A conference is a debate made to discuss world issues

Resolution: A resolution is a solution to a certain issue that is going to be debated on.

As what can be seen in the picture, we had a pretty young population. The youngest is only 10 years old whereas the oldest is less than 17. I was totally surprised by their fluent and articulate speeches.

This is actually my second conference and my first conference took place in Dalian Maple Leaf. The first conference I participated in was a great help for me. I knew more about the rules and gained enough courage to approach the podium, say whatever that is organized in my mind.

On the last day, there were some votes for fun on things such as the most diplomatic delegates, the most confident ones.... Last conference I got nothing, this time I've got 5/13. (I am the delegate of Sierra Leone)

This weekend slipped away swiftly just like every other weekend. When the deputy president was leaving, she asked for a group hug. The 14-year-old girl, who has impressed me with her tough character, looked as if she was about to cry. She hugged me and whispered in my ears: "You have the potential to be whoever you want." This was so touching that tears were spinning in my eyes as well. I shall never forget her.

There was a whiteboard outside the campus, which read: What would u like to change in the world? There were a few pens attached.

I saw some hilarious wishes, like "My GPA" and also some controversial ones such as "Donald Trump's Hair And IQ Level". However, I am fully aware that I have something much bigger than desires. This weekend, through several debates, I has expressed my feelings and broaden my perceptions of the world. How can someone say that is not a way to change the world?

Join MUN, let's change the world together.

    Reflections:

    Q: What is a conference?

A: A conference is a debate to discuss world issues.
